Principles

Solar2Energy provides the necessary hardware and ancillary equipment without the client having to invest in the capital expenditure. This methodology has been successfully proven in Germany and Spain over the last decade.  Solar2Energy have indentified that the introduction of the Feed-In Tariff in the UK provides the opportunity to utilise the roof space of Local Authorities, District Councils, Schools and NHS Trusts to create a source of renewable energy.  This is also available to selective land sites.  The location depends on the result of the feasibility study carried out by Solar2Energy to identify the necessary orientation and capacity to create a source of renewable energy.

Solar2Energy has created a Renewable Energy Fund with an initial allocation of £50 million from April 2010.

Any interested parties should resister their interest as soon as possible

Based on the number of registrations, Solar2Energy will contact the relevant authority and carry out a feasibility study, at no charge, to determine the most suitable sites within that authority.  Subsequently, a fund will be allocated for the installation of the solar PV. Subject to the shipping and installation time table, this will be installed within six months of Solar2Energy’s formal acceptance of the relevant sites.

The introduction of the Feed-In Tariff has allowed the social entrepreneurs within Solar2Energy to support the public sector in some of the most difficult challenges they face, with regard to climate change and the pressure to meet targets without the financial support and budget.  We are aware that many authorities have signed up to the N1 188. Solar2Energy have identified the problem and have created a sustainable solution by removing the need for the client to raise the substantial capital required for the renewable energy projects.

This solution has only been achievable by taking a long term view and a long term return on investment strategy.  The introduction of Feed-In Tariff has allowed the project to become a reality in the UK, as has already been accomplished by many local authorities within Europe.
